Uptown..whats it all about?

Its about shopping for a cause...shopping for charity. Helping a local educational non-profit build on an already strong foundation. Its about giving back... to the community...to the kids... to a wonderful neighbor, friend, teacher, concerned citizen who out of the kindness of her heart decided to make a difference in youngsters lives. Its about a commitment to insure our future... the children of our village will be confident, educated and can stand strong among their peers as role models in their own right. its about all the possibilities. Its about making sure the best summer program around will continue in the community, for all kids, parents and neighbors.

Its a village thing and we all have to do our part... so yes, we're going Uptown...we're going to introduce new small indie businesses and emerging designers and boutiques to the community

You and your friends are going to support them.,shop with them, make friends with them... we are all going to benefit from going Uptown.. and when its all said and done,the youngsters of House of Mercy Educational Resource Center will say two very important words, "Thank you!" they will know because of our efforts ,working together to promote, to help, to support their program is the key to moving upward and beyond. And it benefits all of us ,you and me, the youngsters, the community, the town, the nation...all of us! "each one, reach one, each one,teach one."

So onward and Uptown we shall go.
